About Counterfeit Records

In the year 2005, Joshua Jones and Jason Compo were working hard, producing music under the name Glass Gentlemen. They had just picked up some new equipment and were finally making some huge progress towards a good, quality sound. They started getting excited, and as the number of quality songs started to accumulate they began talks of making a full length album. Finally, after doing some research and a little soul searching, they realized that it was going to be very expensive. Furthermore, how were they going to convince a record label to take a chance on them? During this time period, they also noticed the amount of mindless, heartless music that was and is being put out. With this combination of events, Counterfeit Records was born.
